Low - Laura Tinald

Laura Tinald is a Birmingham-based artist and illustrator Laura has loved to draw and paint for as long as she can remember. 

Working predominantly in inks and pencil on paper, Laura brings her subjects to life through intricate detail contrasted with bold lines and loose ink. While her work looks effortless, her process is meticulous.

Laura loves music old and new. She is inspired by icons of the late 70s and early 80s – her colour palette informed by illustration and cover artwork of that era.

Inspired by the cover of David Bowie’s 11th studio album ‘Low,’ Laura masterfully captures the starman’s essence in her unmistakable, signature style.  ‘Low’ lives on, not only in vinyl grooves but also in the strokes of Laura’s artistry.
