Boundless - Sam Weeks

Hailing from the vibrant, second city Birmingham, UK Sam is emerging as a visionary abstract painter. Her journey in Fine Art at the University of Central England has led her to a unique creative philosophy: ‘Notice what you notice.’ This mantra propels her to follow the unexpected, wherever it may lead.

Sam’s artistry unfolds instinctively on the canvas, a testament to the journey rather than the destination. Her process is a dance with chance, where the interplay of intellect and instinct crafts a visual narrative that’s both spontaneous and profound.

Sam says

Boundless is my expression of the joy and excitement I felt during this year’s long, hot summer. For me, it was a productive and busy time, during which I felt brightly and creatively inspired – the season seemed to fill me with boundless energy. The painting itself was incredibly energising to paint. It was created totally spontaneously, the only conscious intention being to somehow convey a feeling or essence of excitement through colours, marks and brushstrokes, so that the work itself would infuse you, the viewer, with that same sense of joy.
