Bobbie, an artist from Birmingham, has transitioned from environmental consultancy to creating internationally acclaimed art. Her work, intuitive and emotion-driven, begins with spontaneous mark-making that captures her feelings. She uses bold, unmediated colours to reflect these emotions, drawing inspiration from natural forms and processes. Bobbie’s distinctive layering technique with oil paints, akin to geological formations, adds depth and narrative to her pieces, inviting viewers to experience the emotional journey behind each painting.

Beach

Drawing from the rich tapestry of a British beachscape, it captures the dynamic interplay of textures and hues—the serene dance of waves, the stoic presence of rocks, and the soft embrace of sand. Created with Bobbie’s hallmark layering technique, the artwork celebrates the clarity of distinct colours as well as the mesmerising effect of their convergence, reminiscent of waves caressing the shore.
