Sam’s artistic process is deeply introspective, often guided by the phrase ‘As above, so below’ during her composition sketches. This mantra has become integral to her practice. Her exploration led her to the Hermetic Principles, ancient tenets that have inspired her latest series. These principles, dating back to the first century A.D., offer wisdom on spiritual self-mastery and living a fulfilling life.

Reflecting on her work, Sam describes her creative journey as both enlightening and thought-provoking. The principles have sparked deep personal reflection and learning. Through her paintings, she hopes to engage viewers, inviting them to interpret the symbolism, text, and textures in their own way, and to find inspiration and contemplation within the art.
