Moctezuma - Bill Sankey

Bill is a creative individual who uses collage as his principal method to reconcile various elements into a coherent visual language. His work evolved from re-purposing abandoned large-scale paintings into abstract collages, and he now employs similar methods digitally. In his digital work, he draws vector shapes, or “glyphs”, influenced by various sources such as corporate branding, ancient alphabets, and street art.

He also explores looser iconography to mimic the fluidity of abstract art, viewing his work as an exploration of the spectrum between these two visual languages.
