Wolverhampton artist Matt Lloyd creates stunningly vibrant portraits of Pop Culture royalty. His style was once described as ‘a form of expressionistic portraiture’.

His original paintings themselves are full of texture, layers of paint, glitter, material and whatever he can get his hands on to create interesting marks on the canvas. Matt relishes the challenge to create pieces that are uniquely embellished and beautifully personalised.

David Bowie said that he was “an instant star. Just add water” Artist Matt Lloyd has added a lot more than just water to create this magnificent portrait of the Starman.

Each box canvas print is meticulously hand-embellished by Matt, who adds texture, paint, glitter-glazes, spray paint and lacquer making them truly one of a kind. Each edition will naturally be slightly different and unique in its own right.
